INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Understand the importance of optimising red blood cell mass - Describe strategies to optimise maternal haemoglobin levels during pregnancy as part of the first pillar of Patient Blood Management (PBM).
2. Implement PBM strategies for the management of postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) - Identify evidence-based interventions to minimise blood loss and support haemodynamic stability once PPH has been declared.
3. Address postpartum anaemia in LMICs - Explore context-specific challenges and cost-effective strategies for diagnosing and managing postpartum anaemia in resource-limited settings.
